10 Months

My Baby Boy is 10 months!

He is such a sweet

kind heart

brush it off
kind of kid.

I cannot express how much I love him.

how he is the perfect fit for our family.

How he makes me know that i want more kids.

(and Landon too of course.)

But I can't believe that we will soon be planning a first birthday party.

2 months.

So at 10 Months Gavin is:

Sleeping great.. about 8-630

Eating way too much.

His favs are cheese and spaghetti

Graham Crackers and strawberries.

He has 4 teeth.

He loves to roll cars and balls.

He is taking steps.

Very proud of himself.

He claps even when we don't.

Starting to give his bro a run for his money wrestling.

Climbing like a monkey.
But of course monkeys are only in zoos.

Loves milk.

Talks up a jibberish storm.

Is growing hair.

White hair.

Its gettin long.

Is a baby bully.

Just ask Cullen.

Is a ladies man.

Just ask Payton or Khloe or Sunny or Violet

But most of all

I love how he can

Light up a room with his smile.

Quote of the Week

Gavin was climbing on Matt and he told Landon that his brother was a monkey.

Landon said, "not aw, monkeys are in the zoo."

However, sometimes my house does feel and look like a zoo.

Mom of the Year #7

Ive never taken a physics class..

but if I had, I probably would have failed.

Newton's Law of Gravity:

If child A is sitting in the stroller,

and child B is sitting on the handles of the stroller,

if Child A is removed,

Child B will fall from lack of gravitational weight pull that child A provided.

Child B will do a face plant on the concrete and end up with a fat, bloody lip, chin and elbow.

Mommy of A & B needs to go back and take a physics class

cause she SUCKS!

Quote of the Week - Bodily Functions

We were looking at pictures online,

when Landon saw this pic he said

"Is Cullen going poop mom?"

I guess sitting down must mean your pooping.

I ask Landon...

Now where do we go pee?

He replied,

"On the tire."

It was just that one time.. I sware :)

Life in a Bag

As I was waiting for Cam to get outta school,

(Cam is the little boy I babysit)

I had some free time.

My purse has everything...

yet I can never find what I need

when I need it.

Matt always tells me to clean it out,

EVERYTHING in it is a necessity.

Its my life that is carried with me from place to place.

Im not a purse matcher with the outfit kinda girl.

Im a throw as much crap (valuable commodities)

in it as it can hold.

So heres the breakdown:

You never know when and where a fire needs to be started.

I dare you to mess with me or my kids.

Oh you need to roast a marshmellow?

I got you covered.

Your bathroom has a weird questionable smell.

Do not fear.

Im telling you I got your back.

This is just one of those "look like I got it together" items.

Yeah, I carry sunscreen with me wherever I go.

Yes, I have pasty white children.

No, I have never used this, and my kids have never burned.

But I do look like a good mom who carries sunscreen with them.

Lipgloss, Eyeliner, Earrings:

For the days when I leave the house tight on time.

I can always put these on while going to where I need to go.

Bad Driver?

I think yes.

Checkbook and Pen:

You always need a pen.

Im good at writing checks..

Im not that great at cashing them.

(Sorry Mama F.)

Call it what you wanna call it.

A bribe?

Its there and is my go to in times of need.

Apparently from the looks of it I havent needed it in a while.

But hey, Candy doesnt have an expiration date.

Baby Spoon:

You never when a tiny bowl of ice cream may fall from the sky.

Yes, 1 sock.

No not a pair.

What do I need 1 sock for you ask?

Well it is a great tissue when you are out and have nothing.

Its not that gross.

Or if one foot is cold.

A diaper:

Pretty self explanatory.

Like I said,

Im a prepared mom.

Im not gonna lie,

I do not carry wipes in there.

to my sweet Gavin,

please only pee when were out.

I always have some sort of toys in my purse.

Cause with 2 boys.

That is Life
to them anyways.
And I admit I have played with these a time or two when bored.

Cause we cool like that.

Protects the eyes.

Helps me take pics of random people cause they can't tell if Im looking at them or at my phone.

Very Sneaky like.

I like to categorize the next pic as "fillers"
Junk mail.
After visit summeries.
Tells you where Ive been or where Im headed. So that is my life in a bag.
Just missing the cash mon-ey.
So I guess pretty accurate. :)

Do you have one?

As I'm driving on the freeway

I pass a billboard that says,

"What is your purpose?"

It gets me thinking.

What is my purpose?

Have I fulfilled it?

I mean, I know most of my friends would agree that being a mom is our purpose.

Does it go further than that?

Its a good question to ask yourself every once in a while.

So think.

What is your purpose?

Are you fulfilling it?

Dear Gavin,

I have so much to tell you. How sweet you are. How loved you are. I cannot imagine my life without you. You are possibly the sweetest little boy on earth. I feel so blessed to be your mom. You are not even a year yet, and I can already tell that you have a kind heart, that you are determined, that you have such a love for life. It is refreshing. You make me want to be a better mom. You "sqwauk" with such conviction. You believe in what you are saying. I cannot wait to know all of what you want to tell me. To see life through your eyes.

I found out I was pregnant with you on your brothers first birthday. Valentines Day. What a perfect Valentines present. Your daddy and I were SO excited. We planned you and your bro so close together in hopes that you would be eachothers best friend. I can see how that is already developing. Your brother is tough on you, but he is the first one to have your back. I know you two will always be there for eachother.

Gavin John.

Your daddy wanted to name you Luke John. I wanted Bryson or Trevor. We both were not in love with eachothers picks so we started from scratch. We both loved Gavin and it fits you perfectly. We took your daddy's dad, you Papa's, name for your middle name. If you were a girl you would have been Lorelai. We both could not imagine our lives without 2 rambunctious, playful, happy boys.

You have the best smile. I cannot wait to see where life takes you. I know that you will be strong and never let anything hold you back.

You are our little guy. I am so in love with you.

Love Always,

Quote of the Week

Landon is all boy.

I love how tough he is.

But we are now getting into the gross boy stuff.

Like snails.

And Mud.

But recently he thinks its hilarious..

and i mean roll on the floor laughing hilarious when he says certain words.

So I might tell him I love him.

He will say, POOP.

Then crack up.

Poop, pee, fart.

Those are some of the fav words right now.

So he now has a favorite song,

which sad to say is his request at bedtime and I do sing it to him.

He made it up, its quite creative. :/

My little songwriter:

(to the tune of twinkle twinkle little star)

"Poo poo pee pee poo poo pee

poo poo pee pee poo poo pee"

Yep, hes a freakin genius.

Serious talent right there.

Anybody interested in making a record?

I will sign the consent form.

I have a paycheck

So were broke.

Yep, Ill admit it.

No shame.

Our savings has been being depleting every month.

No bueno.

Matts job renegotiated or maybe didnt renegotiate (I dont really understand it fully)

there contracts

But what I do understand is we took a hit

So where do you go from there?

When you plan on so much a month and it gets taken from you what are you left to do?

Matt suggested he get a second job.

I hated that idea.

He would never see his kids.

But we both still wanted me to be a Stay at home mom.

So I put out an ad for childcare and I hit the kid jackpot.

2 AMAZING kids.

M-F All day.

Not really what I was looking for, but I don't think I could get kids with exactly Matts schedule :)

So it was the best alternative.

I wondered though.

Would my kids suffer?

I don't want to take anything away from them.

I think Gavin would be fine, but Landon already is having a jealousy issue with Gavin and I didnt want to add 2 more to that.

But as I was looking thrugh my pics from the last few days,

I had a feeling of reassurance that everything was gonna be ok.

He is still so happy.

The second he wakes up he runs out to see where his friends are.

They play so well together.

God is so good to our family.

The two kids are the sweetest things too.

They are a big help with the baby.

They have helped me implement structure..

yeah so what..

Im not a very organized, structured person.

I keep my house clean and tidy...

wouldn't want the parents to think im a slob and my house is unfit.

I think it has turned out way better than I had expected.

And Im still able to be home with my boys.

Mom of the year #6

Im not mean, I sware.
In fact, he asked to play this game later that night, so I guess it was not that torturous.

SO for those of you that are wondering... or maybe its just my hubby who thinks people would be wondering this...

*I do NOT lock my kids outside
*Sometimes I do pretend I can't hear them however
*Yes my kids are naked 95% of the time.
*There choice, im not lazy.
*If I was doing something, like beating them, putting them in cages, or tieing them to trees I would not post it, so anything I do post.. is maybe an exaggerationn of the true scenario.
*I have superpowers.
*I don't care if you judge me.
*Ok, maybe just a little.
*Nope not even a little.

Hope this eases some minds.

Now on to posting my next video.. which you will actually probably see before you read this. So take the naked into consideration.

Oh how time flies..

The other day Matt and I were fortunate enough to enjoy a datenight.

We decided to go to the Riverside Art Walk

1) it was a nice night

2) it is free

3) we both love art

Well it is in downtown Riverside right by the Mission Inn where we took our Maternity pics.

I thought it would be fun to re-create one of the pics that was taken less than a year ago.

Matt.. well lets just say he had a different idea of "fun", but he still was a good sport and played along.

So many changes in such a little time.

I love my life.

Every stage of it.

Mom of the Year #5

Two can play this game...

What Landon?

I can't hear you.

Sorry.. can't hear you.

Quote of the Week

So I wanted to mix it up a little, because as much as Landon says the craziest stuff the older he gets and the more he knows, his newest thing is how he "pretend plays" with his action figures. He does this from the time he wakes up to the time he goes to sleep. We don't dare leave home without Buzz or Spiderman or some random "fighter guy." He makes me smile as he acts like buzz is falling and he screams SAVE ME SPIDERMAN and magically spiderman shoots a web and saves him. I love his imagination and how his little creative mind puts on little acts for me to look upon.

Like, Oh my Gosh.

I think I might be getting old.

When you go to a party that celebrates the decade you were born you must be right?

No, duh!

Like are people gonna go to 00' parties.

Like what would that even be?

maybe its just cause the 80s is gnarly.

Breakfast Club..

I mean whats better than that?

Like, Im sure.

So I love girl nights out.

Like, Oh my gosh.

Its obvious.

I have so much fun with my girls.

They love me even when I make a fool of myself.

Which happens more often then youd think.

But we have fun.

For sure.

I like totally love these ladies.

Was Ross around in the 80s?

I think it must of been.

Thats where we found our awesome outfits.

They had a full on 80s wardrobe.

Dont try thrift store shopping.

We did.

Waste of time and SUPER expensive in comparison.

Who woulda thought?

Apparantly the 80s screams YELLOW

We love us some blue eyeshadow

Just the 3 of us.. Me, Venus and the Bow

Yes, the bow is its own person

Our dance moves are totally rad.
You can hate on us,
but don't hate on the 80s.
Maybe we should just stay in the 2000's.

Chickens Fly at Midnight

I have some bad days.

Not many, but when I do feel like I can't make it through

my BFF always comes to the rescue.

My Hubbs looked at the phone bill one day and saw how many minutes I used up.

"how do you guys have that much to talk about?"

Well its more of a keep me sane before I lose my mind.

Talk me off this ledge Im on.

Encouraging me to be the best mom I can.

Everyone needs someone like Natalee.

And if you don't have someone like her..

don't you dare try to take her!

We've been through so much together..

important stuff like surviving middle school

and getting over that first crush.

But now that we are moms,

the bond is way more impactful.

It is so cool to have your best friend know EXACTLY what your going through when your baby is teething, or having those sleepless nights, or how exciting it is when they start to crawl.

To be at the same stage with your bff is the best.

or close to..

she was the only one that got me through it..

and surprised me with a visit to cheer me up and make everything better the next day.

It was the perfect day.

The kids had a blast.

It always just goes by so fast.

Thank you Natalee!
