A Fun Day

A week or so ago the kids and i thought we would share in my best friends birthday celebration. We met for bruch and then headed to the San Diego zoo where all the happy, friendly like to put on a show animals stay. They were very interactive. It was the perfect day. I can't imagine how it would have been better.. oh yeah of course if daddy was able to go with us, but nonetheless it was a GREAT day. They boys loved it. And I got to hang out with most of my favorite people allllll day long. We ended the night with a birthday dinner and the boys passed out as soon as their heads hit the car seats. Happy Birthday Natalee! Next year we need to top it!

tis the season

Its been almost a month since Ive blogged. Ive thought about it. But that thought was quickly fleeting as my life has been non stop crazy busy. Between working, cleaning, wif-ing (its a verb), mothering, birthday parties, shopping lists, and blah blah blah I havent had much time to breath let alone blog. I sit now, everyone in bed but Landon who is playing fighter guys in the bath tub. I think about this past month. Im excited for Christmas. At how excited Landon is for Christmas. Weve decorated the tree accompanied by hot chocolate and marshmellows. We sing Christmas Carols. Weve driven and looked at lights. Landon and I passed out presents to te residents at my work. Were enjoying the season. We went to a winter wonderland festival and got to see Santa and go sledding. Life is fun, full and still getting crazier as the days pass and life continues. So keeping with my Sunday tradition,, which I know Ive been slacking on, Landon's quote of the week.
Santa asked Landon what he wanted for Christmas, after much consideration he says, "Ironman Powers." Obsessed much? I guess he has the best powers?? He later asked Matt if we could go to the store and buy them.

Love.

I can't get enough of them.
They can't get enough of eachother.

Quote of the Week

The kids and I went out to dinner while Matt was helping some friends move.
Sometimes I forget how hard it can be to try an order food with two little ones.
But they are just too cute to keep contained in our house..
(and I needed to go grocery shopping)
soo out we went.

Landon looked above us as we were eating.
"Whats that Mom?"
What do you think it is?
"A fan?"
Yep!
"What happened? It only have two. One fell down and bumped his head?"

Quote of the Week

Landon came into my room in the morning and wanted me to go out to the couch with him. Im all about giving my son choices... this time he gave me one..

Mom, I can either lay in bed with you.. OR... I can go out to watch TV.

I told him I wanted him to lay down with me.

He said, OH, umm too bad!

And walked out of my room.

Quote of the Week

"Mom can I have hot chocolate when we get home?"
"I dont know, ask dad."
"Dad, can I please have hot chocolate when we get home?"
"Well see if youre a good listener."
"AHHHHH MOM! DADDY SAID NO!"

I guess he didn't want to be a good listener.

Quote of the Week

My boy can talk and sing your ears off. Seriously, the worst best is in the car. There is no escape.
This was only 5 minutes of the 20 minute drive home, which he only paused to take a drink. But this is one of the many reasons why he annoys me I love him!

Quote of the Week

We stopped for dinner
and the high rollers that we are chose Wendys
where all the cool kids go.
We are on our way out and there were three guys standing at the doorway.
Matt was carrying Gavin and he went straight to the car.
I was trying to get Landon out the door but he just kept staring at these 3 shady looking guys.
2 Black, 1 White.
I'm getting frustrated with him because he is being beyond rude and wont walk
he is just standing there standing at this one guy.
Im telling him to lets go and he slowly walks out the door,
which the guys have been patiently holding open this whole time.
As soon as Landon gets through the door he stops to watch them walk in.
Seriously kid, what the heck.
Then he says to me all in awe,
"Mom, that guy fights robots!"
He was starstruck.
It took me a minute and then I realized what he was talking about....
....
....
....
....
....
....
....
....
....
Yep, we saw Will Smith at Wendy's,
...where all the high rollers go.

11 Month Maniac

In less than one month my baby will turn one.
Im torn.
Im excited for how much he has grown,
morphed into this crazy, energetic fun loving little boy,
leaving behind his baby face,
his need for momma every moment,
his dependency.
But heading full force at the world before him.
He has learned that he likes some things more than others.
He has learned that he can fight back.
He has learned to perfect the "tantrum"
He knows how to push buttons.
He has a strong will.
He will go far.

At 11 Months Gav's...
Has 4 teeth.. with one BIG gap!
Is still not a walker, but can walk long distances with ease.
Has had his first haircut, and looks freakin cute!
LOVES Mickey Mouse
Likes to try to put on our shoes.
Grunts for everything
Waves his hands in the air when he wants anything or is talking about something
Likes to pretend to talk on the phone
Has a temper
Likes to throw stuff
Likes to dance
and Sing
and play in toilet water
and the cupboards
and drawers
and trashcan
and anything else we say no to..
it makes it that much funner.
He thinks hes funny
and he kinda is.
Has fallen down stairs
Loves to play with the gum ball machine
Is getting some chunk on him
hes pretty great and I can't wait to see how much one month makes on him.

His buddies.

Happy 11 months to my baby.

Moneymakers

If you are an animal rights activist
you may want to pass over this post.
I was young.
And Stupid.
But always looking to make more money.
I never hooked.
So I guess I kept my morals.
But one night I had a dream.
No seriously, its true.
FISH FIGHTS.
So I woke up the next morning,
my bbf and I went on down to the local wal-mart
and bought fish.
Lots of fish.
Some fish are really expensive.
So we had to make this a money making experience.
We called some friends over,
took them in my room,
which was filled with all the clear bowls and cups I could find,
and had them pick a fish and put $5 on it.

Then one by one they were eliminated,
either death by fish,
or because they were from wal-mart,
but one by one,
they dropped dead.
The last two winners
from bracket A
and B
were two Bettas.
They went head to head...

and there was one winner.
Yep, our first (and last) fish fight was a success,
but we were left with several dead fish.
Wal-mart had a fish policy,
to return any dead fish that happened within 48 hours,
so thats what my BFF did.
I didn't have the guts to go inside,
so I patiently waited in the car.
She said,
"the lady looked at her,
and said..
and ALL the fish died?
She opened the thermos that we brought them in,
and she said ugh close that I will give you all the money back.
Promise me to throw that thing away.
So yes, I still come up with money making ideas,
however I have matured and promise that no animal will ever be hurt in one of them ever again!
We did make a good profit for 2 stupid teens.

Quote of the week

"Mom, you're the best mom...
and I'm the best bubba."
Well I know the second part is true,
and Im glad after 2 1/2 years of life he still feels that way about the first part.

LA COUNTY FAIR

We love the fair.
Its a fmily tradition.
Matt and I went there every year when we were dating.
Its even more fun to take our kids there.
Landon wanted Grandma Jackie to come,
so he called her and asked..
and how could she say no to that?
We watched a aerial circus show..
Landon and I rode an elephant
(which was my favorite part)
Went to the petting zoo..
Landon and Grandma rode the ferris wheel..
and Landon rode more rides..
like the big slide with dad..
It was an all around perfect night.
WE LOVE THE FAIR.
