Weddings.. and Love..

Yesterday we went to a wedding for one of Matt's good friends. Since I have gotten married myself, anytime I go to a wedding it just brings back so many memories of my own wedding day. Im not so much a fan of long weddings, but I do Love receptions! So yesterday my parents came and watched the kids so we could go, just the two of us. It is so nice when we get that time to ourselves. Just the drive there was relaxing, no movie playing in the backround, no baby crying, no newly potty trained little boy telling us he has to pee pee. So we left, taking the "romantic scenic route" as Matt called it driving along the snow covered mountains from the storm the night before. I was thinking at that moment, how much in love we were, more than the day we said "I do." I am excited for our friends, after today whenever they go to a wedding they will be able to reflect on their own and the love they share.

Gavin John - 4 months

Our little boy is 4 months now. Where has the time gone? He is amazing in every way. We could not have asked for a better baby. Not a cuter one either. He is absolutely perfect. His smile is so infectious. He loves to babble now. We have some very deep conversations you know. He tells me all about life in these little adorable coo's. He has been rolling over for about a month now. He is all over the place. I can tell he wants to play with his brother so badly. It won't be long before they are a little power team of 2, taking over the world. Gavin hasn't been sleeping so well lately, which means I haven't been sleeping so well, but I really don't mind it. He eats for about 5 minutes and is fast asleep. I am able to start him on his cereal now, but that is just another reminder that he is growing up, so I think I might hold out for another month. I can't believe how long he has gotten. He is still so skinny though. We had a Dr.s appt. this past Tuesday and he weighed 12.6 lbs (10th percentile), was 24.5 inches (50th percentile) and I don't remember the head circumfrence, but it was in the (20th percentile). He is our little guy, so sweet, special and perfect.

We are two years richer..

We are so blessed to have the two greatest boys in the world. Okay, so I am biased on this, but I wouldn't trade them for anything. Yesterday was my little man's second birthday. We dropped the littlest one off with Grandma and Grandpa and headed to Disneyland, just the 3 of us. Wow! Hes already 2! I can;t believe how quickly it goes, but my life is so much richer than it was two years ago. He has brought so much laughter, wonder, amazement, excitement and so much more to our lives.
He cracks me up! He didn't like the music while waiting for the teacups.

CHEESE!!!

He brightens our life!

Oh how I love my boys! They are so cute!

Getting sleepy, but doesn't want the night to end.

Who could not love this little guy? Happy Birthday Landon!
He has the most beautiful blue eyes that are going to steal some lucky girls heart one day.

Never a dull moment

Landon; so many words can describe him. Sweet, Stubborn, Adventurous, Curious, Funny, Outgoing, Amazing, Exciting, Energetic.. I could go on forever. I have to share a funny story from this week:

So the other day Landon woke up at his new wake up time of 6:30 am. Yuck. I am the opposite of morning person, especially when I am waking up throughout the night to feed Gavin. So I got up, got his juice, some breakfast and turned on the Disney channel, before I snuck back to bed to get another hour or so of sleep.

Well Landon comes in my room around 7:30 for my wake up call. He says, "Mom, down. Come play. Waters." Well all this is the usual plea for me to get up and start my day... except for the "waters" part. Water? Hmmm?? Well as I walk down the hall my feet are greeted in random puddles as I make my journey to the kitchen. The Kitchen. The kitchen floor. The kitchen floor COVERED in "waters." He had cups placed all over the kitchen floor, and the family room, filled to the tippity top and sitting in a puddle of water. He spent that hour of alone time, to neglect Handy Manny or whatever was on at the time, his juice, and his breakfast.. to play with stacking cups and fill them up with the refrigerator door water. A full hour of alone time is all it takes to cover the kitchen floor, the family room and the hallway. Gotta love my boy and his mischief.
