11 Month Maniac

In less than one month my baby will turn one.
Im torn.
Im excited for how much he has grown,
morphed into this crazy, energetic fun loving little boy,
leaving behind his baby face,
his need for momma every moment,
his dependency.
But heading full force at the world before him.
He has learned that he likes some things more than others.
He has learned that he can fight back.
He has learned to perfect the "tantrum"
He knows how to push buttons.
He has a strong will.
He will go far.

At 11 Months Gav's...
Has 4 teeth.. with one BIG gap!
Is still not a walker, but can walk long distances with ease.
Has had his first haircut, and looks freakin cute!
LOVES Mickey Mouse
Likes to try to put on our shoes.
Grunts for everything
Waves his hands in the air when he wants anything or is talking about something
Likes to pretend to talk on the phone
Has a temper
Likes to throw stuff
Likes to dance
and Sing
and play in toilet water
and the cupboards
and drawers
and trashcan
and anything else we say no to..
it makes it that much funner.
He thinks hes funny
and he kinda is.
Has fallen down stairs
Loves to play with the gum ball machine
Is getting some chunk on him
hes pretty great and I can't wait to see how much one month makes on him.

His buddies.

Happy 11 months to my baby.

Moneymakers

If you are an animal rights activist
you may want to pass over this post.
I was young.
And Stupid.
But always looking to make more money.
I never hooked.
So I guess I kept my morals.
But one night I had a dream.
No seriously, its true.
FISH FIGHTS.
So I woke up the next morning,
my bbf and I went on down to the local wal-mart
and bought fish.
Lots of fish.
Some fish are really expensive.
So we had to make this a money making experience.
We called some friends over,
took them in my room,
which was filled with all the clear bowls and cups I could find,
and had them pick a fish and put $5 on it.

Then one by one they were eliminated,
either death by fish,
or because they were from wal-mart,
but one by one,
they dropped dead.
The last two winners
from bracket A
and B
were two Bettas.
They went head to head...

and there was one winner.
Yep, our first (and last) fish fight was a success,
but we were left with several dead fish.
Wal-mart had a fish policy,
to return any dead fish that happened within 48 hours,
so thats what my BFF did.
I didn't have the guts to go inside,
so I patiently waited in the car.
She said,
"the lady looked at her,
and said..
and ALL the fish died?
She opened the thermos that we brought them in,
and she said ugh close that I will give you all the money back.
Promise me to throw that thing away.
So yes, I still come up with money making ideas,
however I have matured and promise that no animal will ever be hurt in one of them ever again!
We did make a good profit for 2 stupid teens.

Quote of the week

"Mom, you're the best mom...
and I'm the best bubba."
Well I know the second part is true,
and Im glad after 2 1/2 years of life he still feels that way about the first part.

LA COUNTY FAIR

We love the fair.
Its a fmily tradition.
Matt and I went there every year when we were dating.
Its even more fun to take our kids there.
Landon wanted Grandma Jackie to come,
so he called her and asked..
and how could she say no to that?
We watched a aerial circus show..
Landon and I rode an elephant
(which was my favorite part)
Went to the petting zoo..
Landon and Grandma rode the ferris wheel..
and Landon rode more rides..
like the big slide with dad..
It was an all around perfect night.
WE LOVE THE FAIR.

Quote of the Week

"Mom, Gavin's hair looks busted!"
A certain verse comes to mind. Matthew 7:4 - "How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the while there is a plank in your own eye?"
Its a bad hair day at the Faucher home.

Ccrrryyy

Intimidation doesn't go over well in our household.

Bedtime rants

About 30 minutes after Landon was put to bed i walk past his door. He hasnt stopped talking since he was tucked in. I stop and listen. "And thankyou Jesus for my cousins, and Aunt Tracy, And Uncle Kenny! Annnnnd  hmm Thankyou for Peter Parker. AMEN!" I wish I would have been able to hear the whole thing, but just that made me smile. No prompting. No Repeating. Just him and God.. and me listening at the door. I sat by his room for 30 more minutes. He sang happy birthday to Tommy and Cullen. He counted. He played fighter guys and made shooting and fighting sound effects. He declared a winner. He said, "King of beasts.. king of beasts.. momma said thats a cat." Which I never said. And a bunch of stuff inbetween. He was so cute. He talked until he fell asleep. I love his heart. I love his imagination.
